How do I prepare?

Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 through December 7. It is a yearly window to review Medicare health and drug coverage for the coming year.

Keep the notices you receive about your current coverage. Set aside time to read them and write down what you do not understand. Bring your questions to a conversation before making a decision.

Your yearly review and your first Medicare enrollment are different steps. If you are new to Medicare or leaving employer coverage, check the enrollment rules for your situation rather than relying on the Open Enrollment dates alone.
